It’s another question I get from time to time, so let me share that with you here. I’ll explain why in just a bit.
I actually serve two very different types of clients, both ideal. Much of what I do on this blog is intended to attract one or both, while simultaneously repelling those who don’t identify with either.
Ideal client 1 (I refer to him as David – ask me about this, and I might just tell you someday) – is a do-it-yourself business owner who just wants the truth and to be taught what to do by someone with integrity who really knows. He’s looking for a mentor to show him step-by-step how to get results from his marketing, and he has the time and is willing to implement what I teach him.
Ideal client 2 (I refer to her as Debra – same thought as before about why) – is different than David in the sense that she is very busy in her business and just needs to hire someone to help her accomplish her core initiatives. She simply has no time to do it herself, but does have the ability to write a check to get the work done.
As for those who have no inclination to learn and implement, nor have the ability to pay for what they want – they simply don’t relate to the Marketing Geek and what he offers. So they go looking for even more free stuff, hoping some of it works for them.
