Along comes a great quote this AM and anyone who knows me knows I love a great quote.
Especially when the words come from Ah-nold, “The Terminator” Schwarzenegger.
He tells us that “you can’t climb the ladder of success with your hands in your pockets”.
True.
Agree?
Ever try it? Forget the ladder of success, just climb a 6-foot step ladder with your hands in your pockets. There’s a good chance you’ll take a mighty tumble.
Better to stay where you are, feet planted on terra-firma.
However, if you’ll pull your hands out of your pockets and place them on the next rung, then take one step at a time – there is no limit to how high you can climb.
Unless your beliefs fail to support you.
Around here we call that “BS”.
Or for the uninitiated, (new readers), belief systems.
(I know what you were thinking it meant, btw).
We are all so full of BS that it’s amazing we ever accomplish anything.
Think about it in the context of today’s quote.
Some BS tells us that ‘were not supposed to climb the ladder’. That ‘people like us don’t do things like that.’
That ‘we’re not smart enough’ or ‘I don’t have the right education’ or ‘it’s too expensive’.
